KRIS

Kris helped to shape transportation policy in his roles as Chief of Staff at MassHighway and as the Legislative Director at the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT).

As Chief Of Staff at the MBTA, Kris led the $1.7B agency and more than 6100 employees. No small task. He managed transportation interagency coordination efforts and worked directly with the Registry of Motor Vehicles, Massachusetts Port Authority, Massachusetts Highway Department, the Department of Conservation and Recreation and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
His extensive knowledge of the inner workings of these institutions builds upon his deep familiarity with the policy process. A career made up of public policy and legislative affairs, that now spans over 20 years, began in the Massachusetts State Senate managing legislative affairs as Minority Leader Richard R. Tisei’s Legislative Director, and later as his Chief of Staff.
Following the Senate, Kris served as the Director of Business Development for Rivers’ Edge, a public/private partnership.  Working jointly with Malden, Medford and Everett, and their respective congressional and legislative delegations, he built successful coalitions and helped to secure millions in state and federal grants and earmarks.
Kris lives in Natick with his wife and two daughters and is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts.
